F.A.Q.As I start the game the intro movie plays, the loading screen shows up, then the program crashes (1.0 beta). What can I try?The installer might have failed to detect and download the OGG codec. You can manually download and install it from here. Can I play with real money? No, 3D Blackjack Trainer is a training game and it IS NOT a gambling game. We will never include the possibility to play real money in our game. How can i report a bug? In your bin\release application directory (usually c:\program files\pt 3d entertainment\3d blackjack trainer\bin\release) you'll find a file called "bugssubmitter.exe". Double-click on it and follow the procedure. This file will also be automatically executed whenever a fatal error is encountered while playing. How much does this game cost? Nothing, this program is free software and is released under the terms of the GNU GPL. However you're more than welcome to donate some money if you've appreciated our hard work. We count on people's donation to support the growth of our project. I'm a computer programmer, can I join the development team? Yes and you're more than welcome to join us. Just send an e-mail to our project leader and we'll find you something to do. There's always something to fix or improve. I'm trying to install 3D Blackjack Trainer to a computer that doesn't have internet access... and the installation process fails when i try to install the K-Lite Codec Pack or the DirectX Redist Package. What can I do? Our installer fetches those components from the internet, therefore a computer not connected to the internet will not be able to download those components. However you can make sure your computer has the K-lite Codec Pack and DirectX 9.0c (or higher) installed manually and then start the installer. If it still fails, you can always download the binaries release of the game and manually start the game. The game is terribly slow. What can I do? We suggest you update your hardware and make sure you have the last version of DirectX as well as the last version of your video card drivers installed. We're also working to make the game lighter and more efficient for future releases. What are the minimum requirements for running the game? The game needs a computer with Windows 2000, XP or Vista operating system (sorry, no GNU/Linux releases of the game are planned anytime soon), 256 megabytes of RAM, 1ghz CPU, DirectX 8.0 compatible video card (128 megabytes reccomanded) and .NET Framework 3.5. Will i get notified about new releases of the game? Yes, an internet check is made everytime you open the game to see if there are new versions of the game released by our team. In case a new version is releases, you'll be notified of it as you start the game. |
